Oh yer she went to great length to tell him she didn't like alcohol...yet she was apparently drinking champagne at one point at their wedding after party.

"Will I have to go on my own." Is she a moron? He just told her they are both going! Sheesh!

...so at what age did he leave home? Did he never go back to visit his parents? Doesn't sound like he was very close to them. You would think that in the decade between 30 and 40, he would have been adult enough to talk to his dad & get his side of the story...especially considering how he treats women himself.

You know in this chapter there are a few things that are making me go "What?" Like Duncan..."ever since his parents' marriage had fallen apart he had made sure he was in control of everything" really it was not as if he were 12 when his parents divorced...he was 30! He looks at a photo he has been sent of his late fathers Italian villa and thinks it looks just like he remembers from his childhood...

He picks up the phone to get his secretary to make the arrangements to take his wife on a vacation, but earlier she had given him the final arrangements for their honeymoon! Wo, why is it I read so many books where these small details are missed...drives me crazy. I know I can be annoyingly pedantic about these things but it can really have me shaking my head and breaking my enjoyment in a story.

A couple of pages ago she watched him walk around her small living room. Apparently she has no sofa, just a couple of small fluffy chairs. Now while he waits for her to go and get some coffee, he has apparently just sat down on her sofa...the non-existent one!

Questions people...you need to ask more questions of each other...stop making assumptions! You are driving me crazy.
