Derek tries to make friends with the new kid in school who is from Hollywood. Everybody thinks the kid is a snob but Jeter tries to make friends with him. He goes and asks him for his name ( Dave) and tries to become friendly Dave just puts his hard up and thinks the principle made him say hi to him. Then Dave's ride comes and it's a black new Mercedes, with a man in a black hat and suit in the drives seat.

Derek has a scrimmage on his team and does above every time he gets to hit or field a ball. When the game is over he decides to go over to Dave to see if he wants t come over to his place to practice. Dave says yes and decides to go to Derek's place but when he gets out of school Dave's car and his driver are waiting for him and Daves says its a surprise and there going to his place. He doesn't know what he should do

I am enjoying this book because Derek has a contract of rules and if he breaks those rules then he is punished but if he follows those rules he gets rewards like going to baseball games. His team this year is called the red socks even though in real life the hates the red socks he actually likes the Yankees. Derek hopes to make this the best year yet. Even if his teammates are not the best on the filed.
