I started reading this because I (just moved to a year ago, and got) a corporate finance job in New York City, and wanted to see if there were conceptual comparisons between modern NYC and how authors viewed it in the past.
I’ve read many books on New York. But the use of regional name dropping (Rockefeller Center, etc) bridge past and present flawlessly.
Simply, this is one of the best novels I’ve read.
