Okay, so we just jumped 22 years into the future. Our main characters are now in their late 30s. I’m sorry, but I thought this was a YA book?? Also, I don’t understand why Anya would wait 22 years before making another attempt on her husband’s life. If she wanted to kill him so badly, why the heck would she wait 22 years??

I’m almost halfway and I feel like nothing has happened! There’s literally no plot, no problem the characters are facing. I have no idea where this story is going to go. I have no idea how Mierta and Orlynd are connected. I still have so many questions.

Mierta does not come across as 12 at all. He doesn’t speak like a normal 12 year old. It’s throwing me off.
