If I could make one recommendation for who not to read, it would be Michio Kaku. He's a brilliant physicist, but doesn't know how to reign in his enthusiasm and tell you realistic things about physics and science. Most of what he says is pure speculation, but he doesn't emphasize that - a reader who doesn't know much about physics would think he's describing the current state of the art. When in fact it's far from that. There are much better authors - Steven Weinberg, Jim Al-Khalili - who are just as good at physics, but better writers.

Thank you. I don’t mind speculation provided that it is qualified as such. So far I am enjoying this book but I hope that he doesn’t steer to far into speculative territory without the desired distinctions advanced for the reader. I read a lot of books of this type so I hope I don’t get confused as to whether we actually have flying cars (in the here and now) before I finish it. Thanks for the recommended authors. 👍
. . . And the comments on Michio.
