The Grove of Doom was a great Shadow novel with plenty of action, a good mystery, eerie setting, and a great portrayal of The Shadow as the dark avenger of crime! One of Walter Gibson's favorite's, but not mine. I found one of the characters rather irritating and unlikeable, although he was supposed to be one of the good guys. Still, a great story.
