I got so caught up on chapter 3 I just HAD to finish it. I love when people talk about photographs and the art/meaning behind them and the composition—it fills me up with joy. It reminds me of the discussions we’d have in photography class every Friday. The chapter was beautiful, but it also felt heavy when explaining Foreman’s picture. It’s a beautiful chapter. If only the entire book would be just that.

The backstories got a bit boring but the ending was heartbreaking. The way everything hit me and I understood what had happened and why they introduced so many people in the beginning. I hope they’re still in the next chapters or else I would’ve read their backstories for nothing.
