The Beavers and the 3 kids reached the Stone Table, met Aslan (who was half encircled by animals) and experienced the first skirmish. When the animals surrounding Aslan were named off, Em made an audible gasp at the unicorn's presence. :) She was certain Peter was going to be killed by the wolf. After Peter survived, she determined that witch was going to be killed. She's been back and forth on who will survive.

R and I have been reading about a chapter a day together over the phone. Friday he told me he loved this book and he hoped there were more of them. This week reading with him has been the highlight of my day. I love that he is now getting curious enough to try to guess what might happen next.

Em got so excited tonight that she initially wanted to finish the last four chapters. We've talked about all kinds of things while reading this book. Few things have given me more pleasure than reading to her and hearing her enjoy it.

Today, Ryker (age 4) was listening and guessed that the Beavers and children would see Santa when they heard the jingling bells. Emmalyn said, "No way that's going to happen. Can you believe he thinks Santa is in this book?" LOL. She was surprised. She also thinks the Witch is going to kill Aslan.
