I’m re-reading the entire Mercyverse in chronological order, so shifting shadows is paused while I read the first two alpha and omega books. It’s neat to try and piece it all together and make sure it all makes sense XD

It must be! I'm reading it for the first time, though :-/ I hesitated between publishing order and chronological... maybe I should have done it the other way and then go chronological. It sounds more fun!

I am not sure that it matters, Patricia Briggs is amazing and I haven’t found anything that wouldn’t make sense no matter which way you read it. I might skip the comics/graphic novels until you read the entire series. They picture characters differently then I would and those stories are a little different/don’t exactly fit into the story. But I believe those are written by other people, so I understand why they don’t exactly fit.

I didn't really plan on reading the graphic novels. And according to what you told me, I'll probably skip them.

I'm the kind of person that dislikes watching movies based on books because I always compare everything (characters, story, etc). It ends up annoying me more than anything and it'll probably be the same thing with the graphic novels.
