Part1 Done. I am introduced to several characters in the first part which I have made a note of so that I wouldn't get confused. The first 5 pages were difficult but after that, the story started getting interesting. I love all the minute details of each character which sets them apart from the other. Am loving that it has so many bookish references and there are so many book lovers. Loved the discussion on J.Joyce.

Finally, I have crossed the 'halfway through' mark. On to the 12th part now. Met lots of character some interesting some not so. Have gone through a lot of interesting and not so interesting sections in the book, but as am progressing my interest in the book has not dwindled in the least.

The fourth and fifth part was a little bit difficult to read, but interesting too, it revolved around politics (my least favourite subject). On the other hand, met Haresh, he seemed interesting, another suitable prospect for Lata?

Done with Part 2, which was more about Maan and Saeeda Bai and Part 3, which was about Lata and Kabir. I've started liking Lata more and more now. On to Part 4 now.

Daren I read this book when travelling in India (a long time ago!) and loved the level of detail. I was in no rush to finish it, so wasn't put off by this aspect, as some are.

Oh, nice. Big books meant to be in detail with regards to the character or the plot, I feel. I am in no rush too finish it as well.
