Rick-Phil What do you think?

Danielle So far it’s ok! Interesting ideas about the asylum process and how it’s changed over the last few decades. Way. Too. Long. though. Ideas are becoming repetitive

Rick-Phil Sounds pretty interesting, but does it leave you seeking refuge or asylum?

Danielle Ha! Just finished, and after all that, maybe.

Rick-Phil lol. What'd you think?

Any wisdom?

Danielle There was so much going on. The book was split into parts based on the author’s own journey as a refugee, and she was also telling others’ stories split into those same parts next to hers, so it got confusing. I think it was intentional to make you feel out of place. She made some interesting points throughout the book - such as that many refugees are denied asylum because their version of storytelling is so different than many western countries, so they’re often not believed. Overall way too long. Could have been an article but was 348 pages. Lol
