Book 1 was unexpected. Quite different from what I was expecting. I was frankly mystified as to where the author was taking me. And I really enjoyed the ride.

Seeing that the book had sequels I thought the end would be one of those that held the promise of a universe of opportunity. Instead it ended quite precisely and narrowly --which leaves me curious at where Book 2 will take up.
