In the book kindred we are introduced to the main character, Dana. Dana is a twenty-six year old african-american woman. On Dana's twenty-sixth birthday,some thing stange happens. Dana mysteriously travels back in time to the ante bellum south.Throughout the book Dana makes many more travels. On each of those travels, Dana is forced to play the role of a slave,all while trying to keep herself alive.
