7% progress update: There are some weird presumptions in this book. I see no reason for assuming that other homo species did not have cognition. I'm prepared to get convinced as I further read the book, but as of now, it seems pretty much possible that Homo Neanderthals, Homo Denisovans, and others did also have cognitive abilities at least equal to those of Sapiens.
