This is so stupid. No one with a brain goes anywhere bears are without a gun. Even people who love to watch them and are only there to photograph them know that a bear can go off suddenly for some unknown reason and attack to protect itself or it's cubs. I've read about people like this who got mauled who even had a gun but didn't have time to get to it. I live in Alaska.
