I’m also often asked about what I am reading—either because people want to learn more about pandemics, or because they are looking for a distraction. So, in addition to the five new book reviews I always write for my summer book list, I included a number of other recommendations.
I hope you find something that catches your interest here:

Thank you for the recommendations...I see my summer full of new titles
I really enjoyed reading "Factfulness: Ten Reasons We're Wrong About the World—and Why Things Are Better Than You Think".Thanks for the recommendations!
Dear Bill, me and my book cloub friends would are very very curious about your currently reading list and your to read list for the summer. I would be so gret if you would share some of those books with us too!
Thanks, I always look for your recommendations. One they are not driven by any promotion or marketing gimmics and two I find that they always make me inquisitive to look at books, authors and their background and third - many of these landed on my wish list too. Thank you very much for taking efforts to write this for all of us.
Thank you for reviewing and sharing. I always find a couple of good reads on your list. It gets me out of my reading rut!
Thank you for the recommendations. Read The Martian a few weeks back, talk about “social isolation”! It’s a great book, nothing like problem solving and science to move humanity forward.
I’m curious what you are reading… Well I’m actually curious about what most people are reading at least my friends and family but I am curious about what you are reading Bill because you have a curious and wide ranging mind. And besides, maybe you got wind of something that I missed! Just kidding, I am mostly ranging in fiction these days, for the distraction yes but I value knowledge, curiosity and the assessments and analysis that comes out of it.
This list seems slightly different than your previous readings. I’ll have to check some out. Thanks!
A Gentleman in Moscow is still one of my favs. Headspace has been on my tbr list for awhile, need to bump it up
It would be great if you would share a true pandemic booklist. Here is mine: https://www.goodreads.com/review/list...
Thank you for recommendations.. I will definitely read A Gentleman in Moscow. It seems very interesting story.
Bill you seem like a great person it’s not u it’s me i give up being your #1 fan bcs I’ve realized I will never be noticed....
Bill no offense I don’t think you are the smartest person ever however you’ve accomplished so much for what ?
Hey Bill, I’m sure you’ll never read this but would you consider writing on the meaning of life? As a miserable nihilist, I would love to hear your views. What motivates you? Why should people bother to get out of bed In the morning when all they can ever aspire to is a slightly higher position in the rat race hierarchy? What about suicide... when if ever is suicide morally okay? Can all people have a meaningful life regardless of circumstance?(IQ, social position, wealth, etc) Id be delighted if you could address these questions either in writing or on your podcast. Thanks
Great questions and a unique perspective, that quite frankly I feel, should be a question put at the front of ALL these geniuses “think tanks”!Imagine the possibilities. Save: save able; let them go. I’m 67. I’ve had a substantial educational background. I have done well at work. I still feel quite unremarkable. So please Bill, if you could find 30 minutes to consider and answer Scott’s questions, that may perhaps
