I'm a little bit frustrated at how the book kind of romanticises cheating. I hate how Tess just ignores the fact that she has a boyfriend and decides to deal with her mistakes (aka her cheating) the day after. When you start having feelings for another person and they don't reciprocrate, that doesn't give you the right to fool yourself and stay with your partner despite your obvious feelings for someone else
