'What Have I done?'. Alright, first short story about first contact but in a different light, an employment agency officer deduces that a person is not who he seems to be, and discovers that he is actually an extra-terrestrial!

An imporant decision was made by a single man to decide the fate of not only humanity but another civilization across the galaxy.

Just finished 'Who Goes There?', and though not as engaging as the movie 'The Thing' itself (the wandering conversations and seemingly hard to read sentences made me constantly delay the reading of it), it is still a brilliant idea and it is good to know that the adaptation is at least better than the source this time around.

Will probably be on hiatus on this collection for a while, occasionally popping in and out

Who's There by Arthur Clarke

There wasn't any doubt in my mind that come the great Arthur Clarke, that I would have a blast in terms of no only the plot, but the way he weaves these moments of progress in his stories. And this one does not disappoint!

The short stories are feelong pretty good in their pace, at least it still is on the short story 'Who Can Replace Man?'.

A bunch of robots fend off for themselves as they have new found freedom from the tyranny of men.

The story was quite good honestly, the hopeful rebellion that still ended in unavoidable subservience.

A distraught space traveler faces people who adore him as a hero, where he himself bears thr truth inside him alone, of the true cost of blood, sweat, and tears spent for cheap fuel to be shipped to earth.

'What's it like out there' is a pretty sombre but powerful start that sets the stage on what to expect on these other stories!
