reading the omnibus edition, the page count is off, blah blah blah anyways I love this book 50000%. the premise makes it sound like it'll be doom and gloom but it isn't. it's awful for ten pages and then Silence the heroine is off on a new adventure and it's tough for her but fun to read. Also, the way FTL works in this universe is SUPER creative, with alchemical symbols being involved.

The important update is that nothing overtly awful happens to Silence or her husbands before she frees them from the geas and now they're working to escape. But god, that section.... books desperately need to come with trigger warnings.
