Acqua Alta - Anglin: A snapshot of a girl in flooded Venice (and the new themepark based on it). Nice!

The Grandchild Paradox - Thron: Kids aboard an always-sailing refugee ship, thinking about the future and living life. Only OK for me.

Wonder of the World - Blume: Kid invents a Morse-code device. Honestly, a bit sappy, but I really liked this one--nice bit of hopefulness.

On Darwin Tides - O'Meara: One of my faves from this book. Set in Malaysia, following a Sama girl trying to make a life in a new world.

Standing Still - Redifer: Madagascar is apparently a tiny island with not much going for it now. Sucks for the kids.

Into the Storm - Spiliotopoulos: Canadian coup d'etat attempt, didn't really enjoy this?

Masks - Davenport: I didn't really like this one, though the focus on masks was unfortunately timely.

Thirteenth Year - Harper: Poem. I can't really rate them. At least I got a plot out of this one.

LOSD and Fount - Hartl: Short amusing tale of an AI observation system, but still not one I liked.

Sunshine State - Flynn & Hudson: I think the contest must've been judged more on ideas if this was the winner. Interesting, but felt disjointed.

Shrinking Sinking Land - Cowley: I had a hard time figuring out the setup here, though the mother's situation was super unfortunate.

Victor and the Fish - Henry: I liked this one, and the ending made me laugh (not sure if it was supposed to).
