It's hard to like Emma.

Picks up around 55%. Have to admit I almost put it down, but it was nice to get info on the story's world. I don't think all of it is really plausible, but it helped. Book has a more even pace, now.

Hmm, not a fan of love triangles like this. I'm also still not connecting with the MC.

It suddenly shifts to present tense when you get to "The Present" section. I mean, I get it... "The Past" section is in (mostly) past tense, and there's an argument that you can do the same with "The Present" section. But wow that was sudden.

Neat concept. Not really clicking with any of the characters yet.
