Oh man, The Varsity is one of the only things I truly miss about Georgia. Every time we go on vacation anywhere near the South, I make a point of detouring through Atlanta just to eat there. And of course to buy a case of chili.

It's...dry. I'm not sure the narration is doing it any favors; I think F.C. McAllister's voice is PERFECTLY suited for a Sam Spade type whodunit/mystery, but it's so detached that the violent murders and hateful homophobia don't resonate the way they should.
