Good lord, Yen. Of course Ciri ran away to go see Geralt. She's a teenager. She misses him. You never tell her ANYTHING, so she has no proper idea of the threats to her life. You and your drunk, naked chick-friends are allowing her to leave your sight (NOT SAFE) to fetch more bottles of wine (NOT COOL). You're just a pervy, selfish b**ch, and a horrible caregiver. I hope Geralt skins you alive when he hears of this.

You tell her, Casie! Anyone who can't handle caring for a teenager or child OUGHT to be skinned alive! If one must be pervy and selfish, the least one could do is avoid taking on the responsibility for a minor.

Lol thank you. I needed to get this one off my chest.I mean, dude, teenagers are hard--I get that! I can forgive the snarkiness and closed-mouthedness (because grown-ups keeping important things from kids is a thing in media and real life), and I can live with Yennefer being a sorta shoddy caregiver because she's never done it before and had a crummy childhood herself. But using the kid as a barmaid and then letting her get out of sight because Yen was having a pool party with her gal pals was infuriating. Did you not just get through saying, like five pages ago that people are trying to kill the girl??? Yeesh.
(Granted...Geralt is also a terrible adoptive parent. But it's because of lack of knowledge, not for selfishness or complacency.)

...Maybe Yennefer will have to send her girlfriends home and set out to recover Ciri, herself? Maybe they will bond and become a kickass lady duo? Maybe Yennefer will learn to be less selfish and Ciri less closed-mouthed? Maybe it will all work out?...But you will still have to deal with all the inept child-minding in the meantime. And that will suck. And I'm very, very sorry for it.
Heh it'll definitely work out. For one thing, the two sucky parent figures reconciled and are now power-duoing it out. So...they still suck somewhat, but at least they're doing it as a unit. xD
