I’m having a hard time reading this book right now. It’s sentimental and about a father’s father’s father and a son in an older era of religion and domesticity and farming. This book feels like a run on sentence that I can’t dig into. I think this is a book for another time when my mind can be occupied by the overwhelming optimism of Christian spiritual reflection.
