On a reread it was HOLLIS who was the most manipulative but Silas is an idiot who is only thinking of himself and telling someone who is basically the queen in all but name that since the king hasn't proposed yet she's not any promises! Bitch, WHAT?? She's OBVIOUSLY with the king! Forget about her! She's TAKEN whether he proposed or not. She is not free to be with you! And Hollis is no freaking better!
