Unpopular opinion: I didn't like the Mortal instruments and DNFed the first book. I'm only giving this a go because others who didn't like that series loved this one.
So far I find the premise interesting. Tessa is a very sheltered young woman who definitely needs to learn woman are more than wives and capable of great things. She has promise and a quick mind and enough snark to make things interesting.

I DNFed the Mortal Instruments series, taking a chance on this one since so many who disliked the other seem to love this.
I'm enjoying the premise of this one, it hooks you faster and definitely keeps you interested. Tessa is a very sheltered young woman who still needs to learn her worth. She needs to learn women are capable of being more than just a wife and running a home. She has a quick mind and is snarky.
