I'm sorry, but I don't think I'll find out the end. I'm trying really hard to like this book, but absolutely everything about it is terrible. My first update I said it was starting to get good, I was lying to myself to keep going. Also, it was a birthday gift I feel bad not liking.
For the heavy subjects brought up I'd expect more insight, but this world and narrator seem mentally capped at a middle school level.

I've had a feeling from the beginning that in the drop, what really happens is, people control how much power one retains and donates. They keep control by allowing only a few chosen to keep their full potential and rule, while the masses they keep weak and use as fuel.
Bryce will probably get to drop with her full power.

That's my train of thought so far.

The overarching plot has finally been put together and things are happening now, this book is beginning to get pretty good.
Part 1 was honestly annoying. Everyone is two characters, hot and bitchy, or hot and toxic male. It's an odd cyberpunk fantasy world that feels like it's trying harder to be cool than make sense. Everyone is described as an unmatchable power that everyone fears, leaving us back at baseline.
