A philosophy for the "Anthropocene," the condition of being aware we're (human beings) changing Earth so profoundly that climate change (among other environmental problems) is making everyone suffer. Even the rich in the first world. Hence, the democracy of suffering. Challenging reading, but riveting at times too.
