Absolutely flabbergasted. Just finished chapter 2 on prosocutorial overreach. The roots of mistrust in our judicial system begins with unchecked and unaccountable prosocutors, specifically with decentralized judges and plea bargaining. This is a tough read but so eye-opening.

Bradley highlights a powerful reality we need to return to in the American justice system: judicial oversight. Many judges have their hands tied by congressional laws like three-strikes and mandatory minimum sentencing. I think he makes a solid case for judicial oversight.
