I haven't read anything this blatantly feminist since The Dream of a Common Language. And I love it. Here, poems about Barbie are poems about us, American women. About the different roles we have to perform. About our beauty standards (this one is obvious, judging from the subject matter). I love everything this collection is trying to do and I live the cover of a bigger Barbie, too.
