"David" was thoroughly enjoyable. Towards the end, however, the switching back and forth between time periods because somewhat disconcerting. The 'current vernacular' was noticeable in places that veered away from what one would expect 19th century language to sound like, but so what? Loved the book.

I am loving this book; I don't want it to end.
