Somehow, this is the first time the Jewish calendar has ever been explained to me. Also, I now kind of wish we could all migrate over to it as the U.S. standard instead of Gregorian, just because the Jewish calendar actually syncs with the moon as well as the sun, whereas the Gregorian only syncs with the sun.

Also calenders are fascinating and now I want to read a whole book about them. :)

I didn't know I'd want to know about the mathematical procedures involved in divination I don't believe in whatsoever, but it turns out it's fascinating.

Also, some interesting stuff about the Malagasy people ascribing traits and qualities to cardinal directions, and about how they involve that in their socializing, house building, etc. It sounds kind of exhausting. I wanna know more about how that started.
