We think we are so smart - masters of our destinies, yes? We lie to ourselves that we have control. But if it does not rain, we die of thirst. If it rains too much we drown. And when we walk down the street, thinking how in control we are, some idiot with a gun blows us away by mistake. Really we have only a little control - and of very little things.

Good god, he was actually blushing! It painted his face boyish, and suddenly, terribly endearing. Something surged inside her, a warm tenderness. That's when she realized - she actually did like him.
