When I first read Infinite Jest, DFW was still alive. When he died, I tried to learn more about him. Over the years more has come out, and it all punctuates elements of the book I hadn’t noticed. Unfortunately, it also makes the book more unpleasant to read.

This is my second read through of Infinite Jest. There’s a lot I don’t remember, but I’m not really surprised considering how dense and tangled the book is. But, it’s still a wonderful and rewarding read.
