Maybe you'll like it! Language is definitely one of those things that really make or breaks a book for me but I know a lot of people don't care/don't notice it. How are you looking Mexican Gothic btw?
I really like Mexican Gothic so far! I've got some guesses for what happened... Maybe it's a "Get Out" type situation, with white supremacists? The orouborus symbol seems very culty.
