So I have a dilemma: I recently started watching The vampire diaries TV series again and I was wondering if I should also reread the books. There are a lot of books in the series, but I only have Stefan’s diaries at home. Should I reread only those or start the whole series again? 🙈 On the others side, I have 80 unreal books at home... so, what should I do?

I haven't read all of Stefan's Diairies so I can't say how the quality of those books are but the original Vampire Diaries books were kind of all over the place. Nowhere near the level of story telling and character development the TV show has.

Sorry, to actually answer your question; I don't think you need to reread the original books :) Besides, I believe Stefan's Diaries were actually based on the TV character and his history, so they are a good tie in with the show.

Thank you Sophia! I started rereading Stefan's diaries, because I really missed the characters, but I think I will stick to these. I'm not sure if I'll reread the others too... I mean there are 13 books beside Stefan's diaries and I would rather read the books from my TBR. :)
