I really do love the dichotomy of the book Rosetta’s reading interspersed with the world she lives in. She truly didn’t have a very pleasant childhood from the sounds of it. Perhaps not bad per say, but definitely not pleasant, either. And Izzie, as all teenagers are at her age, looks upon her mother as though she is nothing more than a silly adult who knows nothing.

Gypsy indeed! She is much more than that, I’d reckon. Be glad you have your son back.

That may simply have been the introduction to the book, but damn. If anything, it’s only made me more inclined to read it, to follow the mystery of this fictional author and what they’ve uncovered.
