I've seen "1984" referenced several times, after the date of Orwells famous title, but this might be the first time I've seen it referenced in a novel that was written before 1984. (This one was written in '74) Interesting.

Isn't this a Dustin Hoffman movie? And written by the same guy who wrote Princess Bride? Too cool!
