This book, even though its in the early 80's, shows everything that is wrong with our mental health system and justice system. It makes me angry. Though some stuff in our justice system is better it is still very flawed. Mental health is still taken as a joke to people and that people are just crazy and we need to leave them to their own devices, lock em up or ignore them.

I had to stop reading. This is why I read fiction and not nonfiction. I get enough of the real world as it is and I dont want to read it too. I will finish some day. Its just too heartbreaking.

This book is based off of real events. It talks about how corrupt our justice system is. Yes it has come a long ways since the 80's, but its still corrupt and unjust. It address jail house snitches and how detectives used them to get their conviction. Some detectives will do anything to solve a case, even if that means putting an innocent man in jail.
