Finished reading Mountains of Madness. I really enjoyed how thorough the explorers in this particular story were. This story ties a ton of the Cthulhu mythos together for me, and was a fun --though predictable-- read.

Finished reading the stories The Shadow over Innsmouth, The Dreams in the Witch House, and The Thing on the Doorstep. The Shadow over Innsmouth was the best of the three and I enjoyed it for it's interesting plot and an actual chase scene, something I haven't read it Lovecraft prior. The other two were a bit lackluster in comparison.

Finished the "The Statement of Randolph Carter" and "The Color out of Space." Both are quite good, and I really enjoyed the historical viewpoint that the characters have in "The Statement of Randolph Carter." Probably my favorite story to date, though a bit predictable to modern audiences.

Finished reading "The Call of Cthulhu" for the first time. So far it's the best of what I've read, though I also enjoyed "The Nameless City" and "Herbert West: Reanimator."

I have had to look up many words during my reading, especially horror words, which has slowed me down. Two particular words, that at first glance seem like they should be related, sinew, and sinuous, have been particularly irksome.

I've attempted to read this book several times over the years, but it's just too big and bulky to read on the train, something I normally do.

Seeing as I'm likely not leaving the house for awhile, however, maybe it's time to try to get through this yet again
