So I went from thinking that this is the worst time to read this book to thinking it might actually be the opposite. I think I like this book even more now than I would have when it was released a year ago. Even though the book’s virus; which people thought only had “mild, flu like symptoms” and turned out to be devastating for the entire human population, is still scary and triggers my corona anxiety a bit...

At first the social media posts from a girl in the time of the virus was a bit triggering, but after her initial panic calmed down her thoughts about the new normal are actually very relevant! She puts words on some of the thoughts I (and most people I know) have been having about the way things feel “normal” now and how some things from before feel so strange and foreign now.
