Perhaps for Lewis, the bookish dreamer and compulsive reader, the very narrative – the sheer experience of being inside a story – is always more important than the conclusion of it.

Here, he is an unabashed and in one sense hopeless lover of a world gone by (Medieval), and most readers will find themselves charmed both by Lewis’s open affection for it and by that world itself.

Aww, it's beautiful when people poeticaly write about Lewis's poetical love for medieval and renaissance time.
