It wasn't a bad book before, but it was doing a lot of set-up -moving a lot of characters into position - for what has started happening as of now: a little less conversation and a little more action.

Just met Nate’s daughter, Becky - probably the only truly innocent character in the book. And then, a slimy phone call from Greig, a not so innocent fellow.

Book is getting better with each chapter; thinking if I want to continue in the Noir vein after this - maybe with one called Tough Luck L.A. - or do I divert to something titled Hurry Home? Or, into the spirit of the website, with some SF??
