I have mixed feelings about this book. The author mocks and degrades a selfless woman as one who is controlled & compliant with the conditioning of a patriarchal culture. I disagree. A "free" woman can be selfless with her time and skills but also pursue her passions and purpose in what she is called to do in life. This doesn't makes her blindly compliant with societal norms. It means she lifts people around her.
