Just getting started with this and at this point, we are getting into the character's backgrounds and setting up for what happens on that night. This is based on a historical murder back in the late 1800s in Riverside in Paterson, New Jersey. I have never heard of this case and am looking forward to learning more as we progress! Wow, an excellent book thus far! We are deep into the trial and are just hearing the hack driver's testimony which changed from when he was first booked by the police. however, he is states witness so, no wonder he changed things up! The three men involved's testimony is coming up, shall be interesting! I love the old historical photos throughout the book. Till next time!

This is getting very good. 4 Men knew Jennie, one was her former boyfriend invited her to have drinks with her at the local saloon that was in a more shady part of town and one of the men spiked her drink with a sleeping drug, which became one of the first date rape drugs. She wasn't falling asleep and they gave her more and more. Finally she slept, they carried her off into a carriage & onto their next destination.
