I’m going to keep going since this book has mostly 4* or 5* reviews from friends, so I’m sure it’s going to get a lot better, but I’m not into it when 6 and 10 year old characters are written to talk and have feelings that make them sound like they should be young adults/adults. I think the author’s intention was good, but the result came off as unnatural and weird to me and took me out of the story. 😬
