Wonder what the current rate of US unemployment is... Hmm... I got on the BLS site to find out (thank you nameless Econ prof!)
It says 13% of PA residents as of June 2020, which is the most recent! (https://www.bls.gov/lau/)
KY has the fewest, and MA has the most, which would make complete sense considering the time of year! It might reverse in September, but there is a special issue to consider this go round.

It seems to me that this author's argument is that the problems with my home country can't be focused on the President per se but how We the People act. That's what I've gotten from it so far.
