Something that really irks me about this book is that the teenager characters are written like they’re in their 20s. The main character is 16 years old and an ex-smoker who’s been getting drunk since she was 14 at oldest and works in a bar. She claims the only reason she hasn’t held down a job before is because of being on the move when she’s 16. She’s also kinda judgy but not to her kidnapper???
