Their communication is terrible. They live in the same house and they do not talk at all. They don't even share their day-plans. It's very weird.

The story is picking up a bit, but everything about Parker is just pure plot convenience.

A quarter in and nothing really happened. I get the feeling the author mistook complicated, dark backstory for character depth.

Struggling to get into it. The first few chapters are pretty disjointed. I wager the author is trying to be witty, but it just comes off as trite.
