"It happened fast..." not if the tagline is referring to the actual apocalypse part. I'm 8 hours into the audio book and the author has spent maybe 30 min of that referring to the "beasts". The story is slowly getting better but entirely too much time has been spent "laying the foundation"; we're not rebuilding the warehouse district, christ.
